DMANF Announces New Advisory Council Members
June 19, 2009 — The DMA Nonprofit Federation is pleased to announce that effective July 1, 2009, Susan M. Loth, director of fundraising, Disabled American Veterans, will serve as Chairman and Geoffrey W. Peters, president, CDR Fundraising Group, will serve as Vice-Chairman of the Nonprofit Federation's Advisory Council.
We also welcome three new members to the Advisory Council. Kyla Shawyer, senior vice president, response marketing and development, Operation Smile; Karen Gleason, mass market crm lead, American Cancer Society; and Ken Dawson, chief marketing officer, InfoCision Management Corporation.
The Advisory Council provides crucial guidance to the Federation and volunteers countless hours to make our initiatives a success. They work hard to make sure all Federation members and Partners needs are met by our offerings and programs.
We would also like to take this moment to thank our departing Advisory Council Chair Jo Sullivan of ASPCA and departing Advisory Council Member Joan Wheatley of Special Olympics for their years of tireless service to the Council.

Susan M. Loth, Disabled American Veterans (DAV)

Susan M. Loth, director of fundraising for Disabled American Veterans, joined the DAV in 1991. Loth supervises the fundraising programs for the nonprofit organization which generates a substantial portion of revenue through direct mail fundraising. She provides oversight to e-fundraising; corporate sponsorship; fundraising services provided to DAV State organizations; and membership marketing programs. Loth serves on several internal steering Committees, including the Strategic Planning Committee for the organization. In 2008, she was recognized as the World’s Best Direct Marketing Fundraiser and considered an Influential and Effective Fundraiser in 2009 by The NonProfit Times.
Geoffrey W. Peters, CDR Fundraising Group
Vice-Chairman, DMANF Advisory Council
Geoffrey W. Peters, president of CDR Fundraising Group, has worked in the nonprofit sector since 1972. He has been with CDR for 16 years, first serving as the president of the International Subsidiary before assuming the duties of the company’s founder in 2004. Peters is responsible for the management of all CDR Fundraising Group divisions and affiliates. He also consults with clients and the nonprofit community on regulatory matters. Peters is also a frequent teacher and lecturer on direct marketing and charity regulation.
