It's that time of year again. No, not time to do the taxes (though it's never too early!), and certainly not time to take a break. It's DoGooder Video Awards time, and the submission period for the annual awards honoring the best videos that raise awareness, tell stories and inspire action for causes is open and runs through Feb. 8.
Brought to you in partnership with See3, YouTube and the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN), this year the four categories are as follows, via the DoGooder website:
- ImpactX Award — A video and short essay category for creators who want to describe the impact their video had on their cause.
- Best Nonprofit Video Awards — Awarded to the best overall video created by a nonprofit organization.
- Funny for Good Award — For those creators who are doing good with a sense of humor.
- DoGooder YouTube Creator for Good Award — Recognizing the efforts of YouTube Creators who used their talents for storytelling to support a nonprofit or social cause.
You can submit your video here. The submission period ends Feb. 8, with voting beginning Feb. 17 and closing March 3, followed by the announcement of the winners March 4. Winning videos are featured on YouTube's prominent Spotlight channel, and each winner receives free registration to NTEN's 2016 Nonprofit Technology Conference in Austin, Texas, March 4-6.
