Last Call: Submit Your Nominations for the Nonprofit CFO Awards 2026
Behind every high-impact nonprofit is a strong financial leader helping guide strategy, ensure sustainability, and support mission delivery. Though chief financial officers often operate behind the scenes, their contributions are essential — but frequently underrecognized.
That’s exactly what the 2026 Nonprofit CFO Awards aim to change.
Nominations are now open for this year’s awards program that sits within the Columbia Books & Information Services (CBIS) portfolio alongside NonProfit PRO.
Up to five honorees will be recognized during a cocktail reception and ceremony from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C., held in conjunction with the Nonprofit Legal, Finance, and Grants Conference.
The 2026 categories include:
- CFO of the Year. A chief financial officer at a nonprofit with annual revenue exceeding $25 million.
- Association CFO of the Year. A chief financial officer at a trade or professional association with annual revenue less than $25 million.
- Philanthropic Organization CFO of the Year. A chief financial officer at a 501(c)(3) organization with annual revenue less than $25 million.
- Rising Stars. A senior financial professional younger than 40 working in the nonprofit sector.
Nominations are open through May 4. Learn more about the awards and submit a nomination here.
Nominations for NonProfit PRO’s flagship Nonprofit Professionals of the Year Awards will open this summer.
