The Engage P2P: Redefining Peer-to-Peer closing session promises to be a fast-paced and information-packed 45 minutes. Author and consultant Rachel Armbruster will lead a panel of four nonprofit fundraisers with backgrounds in peer-to-peer fundraising in a round-robin of quick tips and ideas.
Rachel's extensive background in nonprofit strategies comes from years of dedication to the field, including her role as vice president of business development for Event 360, where she launched the Autism Society and Pump It Up cause-marketing campaigns and served as a member of the consulting team for multiple nonprofit engagements.
While she was the director of development at the Lance Armstrong Foundation, one of Rachel's many successes was managing the Nike relationship for six years and launching the LIVESTRONG wristband campaign. She wrote about this journey in her book, "Banding Together for a Cause." Previously, Rachel was the director of marketing for the Sun Bowl Association, managing all events, marketing and sponsorship.
Joining Rachel on the panel will be Tara Sheehy, events manager, signature events, at Wounded Warrior Project; Rich Rumsey, vice president for development and communications at Project HOPE; Liza Munson, senior vice president, campaign development, at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society; and Kate Giblin Rooper, vice president, campaign development, at American Diabetes Association.
If your organization does P2P fundraising — or if you wishes it would — I hope you'll join us in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 21. You can get more information here, and register here. I look forward to seeing you there!
