Moffitt Cancer Center Selects TrueSense Marketing
Press release (Nov. 9, 2011) — Moffitt Cancer Center has selected TrueSense Marketing as its strategic fundraising partner and agency of record, after having conducted an extensive review of its previous agency and additional proposals from invited agencies.
The primary goal of TrueSense Marketing in its partnership with Moffitt is to develop and pursue strategies that generate faster and more sustained growth. TrueSense will provide a wide array of fundraising capabilities, from comprehensive, multichannel fundraising strategies, to donor-centric creative, to data analytics and growth planning.
"I think a lot of us here at Moffitt felt that there were fundraising opportunities open to us that hadn't been fully realized in the past," said Susan Stern, Vice President of Development at Moffitt. "The fact-based thinking that TrueSense brought to us clearly showed significant areas that we could capitalize on. Their practical and strategic approach impressed us."
At the heart of Moffitt's growth strategies, TrueSense will focus on developing donor-centric creative that meets the donor's need to find cures for cancer, and continuing to improve the care for those fighting cancer right now, while communicating Moffitt's unique Total Cancer Care™ approach.
"The comprehensive nature of the approach that TrueSense took to our fundraising in its proposal gave us a strong indication of how they would work with us as our agency," said Courtney Loebel, Associate Director of Annual Gifts at Moffitt. "That provided the comfort level we were looking for."
In its research for the presentation to Moffitt, TrueSense conducted an extensive analysis of the donor file data and evaluated past fundraising efforts.
"We found that an entire segment of donors had been neglected in the former program, and therefore, Moffitt's fundraising asset had been underutilized," said Jeff Nickel, Senior Vice President of National Accounts for TrueSense. "In remedying that situation, we fully expect to provide an increase in net revenue over what Moffitt had previously experienced. When the growth curve starts bending upward, this organization has tremendous potential ahead."
