Goodworld Acquires Cheerful Giving to Launch Innovative Fundraising Platform
Earlier this month, fintech startup Goodworld announced that it has acquired Bstow — which is doing business as Cheerful Giving. Cheerful Giving is an all-in-one nonprofit technology system, providing donor management tools to nonprofits. A few of Cheerful Giving’s features include digital roundup donations, mobile apps, event ticketing, auctions, matching donations, e-gift cards, text to give, social media donations, etc.
“Goodworld and Cheerful Giving have joined forces to make everyday actions more meaningful,” Dale Pfeifer, Goodworld founder and CEO, said in the announcement. “Soon people won't be going to a donation page on a nonprofit's website to give. Donations will happen instantly as people shop, interact with friends on social media, attend an event or otherwise encounter a cause that inspires them during their day.”
Through this acquisition came a new platform under the Cheerful Giving brand, which is a platform that combines the tried-and-tested fundraising technology with social and mobile digital tools.
“Together, we’ve built a true social ecosystem for good. With thousands of the world’s leading nonprofits and our growing community of brands and influencers, creating social impact is now a part of everyday interactions,” Richie Kendall, former CEO of Cheerful, said in the announcement.
Richie is now co-founder and chief experience officer of the expanded company.
“Our goal is to make philanthropy interwoven with everyday life’s actions so that giving can become seamless and become a really joyful thing,” Dale told NonProfit PRO in an exclusive interview. “We see that there’s a huge amount of power in these micro-transactions for the nonprofits because they really do add up.”
The platform is launching worldwide in stages and is immediately available in the U.S.
