Bonterra Acquires OneCause, Expanding Suite of Fundraising Offerings
Bonterra, a social good software company creating technology for the greatest good, announced it has acquired OneCause, a digital fundraising solutions company that helps nonprofits improve the giving experience and raise more money. Together, they will combine forces to create a powerful fundraising and engagement platform.
With the integration of OneCause with Bonterra’s suite of fundraising tools, Bonterra can now offer a fundraising events and auction solution for current and future customers. This unified experience also includes ticketing, mobile bidding, donation appeals, item procurement, table and sponsor management, event reconciliation, reporting, and more. This also marks the latest investment into the Bonterra Network, a relational network in the social good sector.
“The acquisition of OneCause is a strategic investment that accelerates innovation across the nonprofit sector. With OneCause, the Bonterra Network becomes the most modern, unified suite of best-in-class fundraising solutions – empowering organizations to inspire generosity, streamline every interaction, and deliver unforgettable event experiences,” said Scott Brighton, CEO of Bonterra. “By strengthening our capabilities in fundraising and engagement, we’re ensuring nonprofits can capture every available dollar while giving donors the polished, confidence-building experiences they deserve.”
With the addition of OneCause fundraising solutions, Bonterra customers will experience benefits like:
- Unprecedented Reach: It adds more than six thousand nonprofits, and their millions of donors, to the Bonterra Network, strengthening Bonterra’s commitment to building a community of the most engaged supporters and funders in the world.
- Comprehensive Fundraising Power: It broadens the suite of fundraising solutions available in the Bonterra Network spanning donor management, email marketing, online fundraising, offline fundraising, peer-to-peer fundraising, auctions and ticketed-events.
- AI-first Innovation: It accelerates the future of fundraising by building upon the OneCause investment in AI-first innovation.
“Our shared mission to power social good is stronger together – bringing new reach, expertise, and value to our customers. By joining Bonterra, we can deliver the scale and intelligence of a platform that supports thousands of nonprofits, millions of donors, and billions in giving. Together, we’ll provide smarter insights, stronger connections, and more opportunities for organizations to grow their revenue. OneCause brings more than 15 years of expertise helping nonprofits raise more through events, auctions, and online fundraising. We’re excited to expand that impact as part of the Bonterra Network,” said Steve Johns, CEO of OneCause.
This acquisition is part of the mission at Bonterra — to increase charitable giving from 2.5% of US GDP to 3% by 2033. Bonterra will do this by bringing together the technology that creates the most meaningful, personalized experiences possible for donors. By helping build trust-based relationships between funders, volunteers and the nonprofits they support, the integration of OneCause and Bonterra’s suite of fundraising solutions will help create more frequent and sustainable giving to critical social good causes around the world.
