When Welcome Home 2011 commemorates the 25th anniversary of the 1986 Vietnam Veterans Welcome Home Parade in Chicago, event planners can count on a new leading-edge online platform to help sell tickets, raising funds and awareness for one of the Windy City’s most anticipated events. The platform, www.tix4cause.com™, founded by Chicago businessman Kevin Nemetz, was designed specifically to help nonprofits. Its application is ideal for “Welcome Home 2011” which takes place in downtown Chicago, June 17th-19th.
According to tix4cause.com™ President Kevin Nemetz, “With tix4cause.com™, nonprofits and their event planners can place tickets for their own events, or donated tickets to other events, on our website knowing that 100% of the proceeds will go directly to them to advance their missions. We at tix4cause.com™ are proud to be able to provide our technology on behalf of Welcome Home 2011 – one of the most inspired events honoring our nation’s veterans. To support Welcome Home 2011, individuals can go to: http://www.tix4cause.com/charities/welcome-home-2011/ where they can donate to the organization, purchase tickets to various Welcome Home 2011 events and/or learn about the organization and the schedule of events.
In addition to applying its technology to help make Welcome Home 2011 a success, tix4cause.com™ is among the event sponsors.
More about Welcome Home 2011
Welcome Home 2011 commemorates the 25th anniversary of the 1986 Vietnam Veterans Welcome Home Parade. That event drew over 200,000 veterans and their families who proudly marched down the streets of Chicago before a crowd of over 300,000 applauding spectators. It was the largest parade of its kind in the history of the United States.
The Welcome Home 2011 anniversary weekend celebration, which was officially launched this past Veteran’s Day, will feature a variety of activities for veterans, retired and active serviceman, friends, family and fellow Americans. These activities include a kick-off rally at Navy Pier on Saturday morning encompassing an opening ceremony and followed by entertainment from Jackie Marx and Britt Small. There will also be vendor and information booths and veteran reunions. The rally will be followed by a “Pass on the Torch” ceremony honoring the veterans.
