Network for Good Announces $10K in Prizes for Recurring Giving Campaigns
(Press release, Feb. 20, 2015) — Network for Good has announced the launch of The Recurring Giving Challenge, a special campaign and training series that empowers nonprofits to invest in recurring giving and inspire donors to give monthly. The challenge includes a free online course devoted to monthly giving, as well as a combination of free and client-exclusive campaign materials to arm nonprofits with expert guidance and the online fundraising software needed for a successful monthly giving program.
Clients of the online fundraising platform are eligible to win a share of $10,000 in challenge reward prizes from Network for Good. These customers will also have access to additional exclusive training resources, including fundraising templates, expert-led webinars and personalized coaching.
Studies show that monthly donors are more loyal and give more over time, helping to support good causes. A look at Network for Good’s donation data shows that 44 percent of the company’s annual donation volume comes from recurring donations. “Why Recurring Gifts Matter,” the company’s study of monthly donations, also reveals that donors are more likely to initiate recurring gifts and give larger monthly amounts when a nonprofit’s online donation experience matches their website and offers suggested donation amounts.
“We know that recurring giving is a big win for both nonprofits and their donors. Nonprofits get a smooth recurring revenue stream that they can count on more than once and donors are able to set it and forget it. Our goal is to get more nonprofits using this easy and important fundraising strategy; launching their own monthly giving campaigns,” said Network for Good CEO Bill Strathmann.
With the Recurring Giving Challenge, Network for Good seeks to help small to mid-size nonprofits improve their donor retention rates and build a base of sustaining supporters.
“The Recurring Giving Challenge is another way Network for Good helps nonprofits unleash generosity among their donors. We hope our step-by-step guidance and rewards will give these organizations the expertise and incentive to invest in monthly giving,” added Strathmann.
