Groupable Partners With Grassroots.org
NEW YORK, August 6, 2009 — Groupable, an online marketplace that allows social groups to connect with potential sponsors, is partnering with Grassroots.org, an organization that provides free Web services to non-profits. Through this partnership, Groupable will offer Grassroots.org members access to sponsorship and donation management and marketing tools.
At Groupable, Grassroots members can create free, online profiles that provide details of an organization’s mission and activities. Non-profit groups using the Groupable tool set can develop customized, micro-sponsorship activities that allow for rapid matching with donors/sponsors looking for specific causes. Groupable also lets non-profit groups manage sponsor/donor information, including contact details, payment histories and effectiveness of individual programs.
“By partnering with Groupable, we are able to offer a unique tool to our members,” said Shane Hankins, executive director, Grassroots.org. "As a sponsor listed on the site, Grassroots.org has been using it to sponsor many groups and we believe that like our organization, our members will find Groupable easy to use and a great way to utilize the Web to find donors and sponsors for their initiatives.”
“The recession has negatively affected a lot of non-profit organizations, many of which are looking for new and more efficient ways to reach potential sponsors and donors,” said Nate Brochin, CEO of Groupable. “Groupable offers a solution to non-profits by providing an online marketplace that lets them be seen by commercial sponsors, based locally and nationally. We look forward to working with Grassroots and its members who are interested in taking advantage of our online sponsorship marketplace.”
Founded in 2008, Groupable is an online marketplace platform that allows social groups to connect with potential sponsors and manage the resulting relationships. The company also works with sponsors to target audiences using Groupable’s dynamic algorithm - the Groupability Index - which optimally matches sponsorships to groups.
