July, 29 2009 — Foundation Source, the nation’s leading provider of support services for private foundations, today announced that two senior executives have joined the leadership team of Foundation Source Advisors. Martha Campbell, based in Oakland CA, has been named Philanthropic Director, Western Region, and will work primarily with the company’s West Coast clients. Robert Burakoff, based in Arlington MA, has been named Senior Advisor, and will oversee Foundation Source’s consulting services nationwide and serve as a philanthropic resource for the company’s East Coast clients. They join a team that includes Sharon Schneider, Philanthropic Director, Central Region, and Page Snow, Foundation Source Chief Philanthropic Officer and President of Foundation Source Advisors, who is based in Fairfield, CT.

In a session at the Franklin Forum, sponsored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Philadelphia Chapter in Philadelphia in late April, Justin Ehrenwerth, who served as Philadelphia coordinator for Obama for America, gave attendees an overview of the campaign's fundraising and volunteer strategies. He also shared advice on how nonprofits can implement similar ideas in their programs.

PHILADELPHIA, April 21, 2009 — The Philadelphia Music Project (PMP), a program of The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage, has awarded $1,179,675 to 19 local music organizations in support of 118 concerts and residency programs spanning traditional and contemporary forms of classical, jazz, and world music. This year's grants will make possible world premiere performances of 15 new compositions and Philadelphia premieres of 61 additional works. In all, nearly 1,000 instrumentalists, conductors, vocalists, and composers will participate in these funded projects; 12 ensembles and soloists will make their Philadelphia debuts.
