July 21, 2009 — The American Marketing Association (AMA) and the American Marketing Association Foundation (AMAF) honored three nonprofit marketing leaders at its Nonprofit Marketing Conference in Chicago, IL, on July 16, 2009.  Eric Overman, Operation Smile, received the Nonprofit Marketer of the Year Award, and Anne Bergquist, YMCA of Metro Chicago, and David J. Neff, American Cancer Society High Plains, received the Special Marketing Initiatives and Social Media subcategory awards, respectively. The AMA/AMAF Nonprofit Marketer of the Year Awards honor extraordinary leadership and achievement in the field of nonprofit marketing.

CHICAGO, July 14, 2009 — The CVS Caremark Charitable Trust announced a $300,000 grant to Easter Seals to advance evidence-based autism services for young children nationwide. The grant, made possible through the CVS Caremark All Kids Can Program(TM), is in response to families' need for greater access to autism services as reflected in key findings of Easter Seals' recent Living with Autism Study.* These funds enhance nearly $6 million already provided to Easter Seals through the All Kids Can Program in which Easter Seals is a national partner.

CHICAGO, IL, July 8, 2009 — North Park University is one of only two universities nationwide to offer a fully comprehensive nonprofit management program according to Nonprofit Quarterly, a magazine dedicated to strengthening the role of nonprofit organizations. In the 2009 Education Directory published in the spring issue, Nonprofit Quarterly surveyed schools nationwide to determine which eight essential programs are available at each institution. North Park University and Arizona State University were the only schools to meet all of the eight criteria.

Targeted to CEOs or executive directors who have been in their role for three years or less, the BootCamp is designed to maximize leadership effectiveness and organizational success for new nonprofit leaders. CHICAGO, IL, May 29, 2009 — IHOP, one of America's favorite restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner, today announced that its 2008 National Pancake Day Celebration was recognized with the Cause Marketing Forum's prestigious 2009 Gold Halo Award. IHOP and its national charity partner, Children's Miracle Network, both received the Gold Halo Award for Best Transactional Campaign, which highlights cause-marketing campaigns that generate donations via consumer activity.
