August 24, 2009 — South Carolina teachers searching for ways to pay for extra books, classroom supplies and field trips can get in touch with thousands of potential donors, thanks to a new Web site.
The Palmetto Horizon Foundation announced a partnership with the national organization DonorsChoose.org at a news conference Monday in Columbia. The partnership will allow private dollars to flow directly to classrooms, according to a news release from the state Department of Education.
