LOS ANGELES (Oct. 13) — Clorder, Inc., a developer of a proprietary cloud-based food ordering solution and services designed to help restaurants enhance their online presence, announced today the establishment of a new food ordering community web site that helps raise funds for charities from simply placing restaurant orders online.
Through a newly established web site, http://www.tastyfoodnow.com, Clorder is creating a portal listing more than 200 restaurants, which includes those currently using its online ordering solution. Customers of all these restaurants can visit the community site and place orders through there, which are then processed via the Clorder online ordering platform. The Company anticipates the participating restaurant list to grow exponentially as the site quickly gains traction.
At Clorder's http://www.tastyfoodnow.com, customers can round up their food order totals and earmark the additional amount they wish to pay as a donation to a range of charities. In addition, Clorder will donate five percent of all the online ordering revenues earned through this website.
Charities to be showcased on the new community site include, among others: Dreams For Kids, an organization that provides at-risk youth the opportunity to better not only their lives, but also the lives of others; Early Entrance Foundation, which supports educational programs specifically designed to permit academically talented students; VDay, a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls; and, Share-ity, a provider of basic need support to orphanages.
"This web site will prove beneficial to many parties. The patrons who place their orders through this portal are doing a good service for their community; the charities have another avenue by which to raise dollars; and, Clorder can become a good corporate citizen by donating a portion of the sales," said Satish Varma, Clorder co-founder.
"By setting up the www.tastyfoodnow.com site, we are creating goodwill amongst our clients - restaurant owners - by helping drive traffic to their sites and bringing additional revenue to them. And, we are affording charities another fundraising venue. The www.tastyfoodnow.com site was created for a good cause all around," Varma concluded.
