Of course, you can’t thank each and every one of your donors in person. But you can ask yourself, “Do our thank-you notes address the donor personally? Do they engage her? Do they make her feel good? And important? Do they smile?
If not, you might be sending the wrong message — especially if your notes rush through the thank-you part and skip along to another ask — and you’re definitely missing an easy opportunity to deepen your donors’ connection to your organization.
