Momentive Software Enhances Donor Experience at Fundraising Events With New Payment Option

Momentive Software, formerly Community Brands and a provider of cloud-based software, announced the integration of GiveSmart, a fundraising, event and donor management solution, with Clover Go, a mobile payment device from Fiserv, a global provider of payments and financial services technology. Clover is a point-of-sale system and a Fiserv brand. By leveraging an integration to Clover Go via the ISV (Independent Software Vendor) Partner Program from Fiserv, Momentive Software can now offer a more secure Tap-to-Pay payment experience to meet donor preferences at onsite fundraising events.
The company also announced the availability of GiveSmart Events Salesforce Connector that connects event fundraising and donor management with real time data insights to streamline donor communications, improve operational efficiency and eliminate error-prone manual processes. The GiveSmart Events Salesforce Connector is available on the Salesforce AppExchange, confirming it has passed rigorous security reviews for data protection and compliance. This also provides dedicated support and seamless updates to offer a reliable, well-integrated solution.
These two innovations reinforce Momentive’s commitment to partnering with technology powerhouses to meet donor preferences and deliver an exceptional onsite event donor experience.
AFP Icon attendees had a chance to see the technology in action supporting a great cause. The Alzheimer's Association’s mission is to create a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia by accelerating global research, promoting risk reduction and early detection, and enhancing quality care and support. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the donation process firsthand by making a contribution. In addition, Momentive has pledged a $5,000 donation to the Alzheimer's Association, with plans to provide additional support after the event.
“GiveSmart Events’ seamless integration with Clover Go and the GiveSmart Events Salesforce Connector underscores our commitment to understanding customer preferences and making meaningful technology investments. These investments expand our solution capabilities and empower purpose-driven organizations to grow mission awareness, raise donor contributions and achieve greater impact,” said Dustin Radtke, Chief Product and Development Officer, Momentive Software. “We’re thrilled to showcase these new offerings at AFP Icon so attendees can experience firsthand how easy it is to leverage data that enhances the donor experience, facilitates donor payments at events, and supports causes they care about most.”
Donors at fundraising events seek a reliable, easy-to-use, and secure payment experience that allows them to use their preferred payment method. This includes embracing modern solutions like Tap-to-Pay options for convenience, with less reliance on manual or inconsistent payment options. Limited payment options at fundraising events, coupled with poor connectivity issues and online payment security concerns, can create a frustrating donor experience which not only affects mission contributions but the overall success of the fundraising event.
GiveSmart Events combined with the integration of Clover Go offers donors a modern approach to pay via a preferred contactless method that delivers a fast and more secure online payment experience.
Clover Go offers key features and benefits including:
- Security. The Clover Go device includes the latest security standards. Clover Go allows chip (EMV) and contactless (NFC) tokenization, and all transactions are encrypted to help protect users’ data and to provide peace of mind.
- Convenience. With the Clover Go EMV insert and NFC tap capabilities, organizations can ensure transactions are processed quickly and smoothly, providing donor attendees an enhanced overall fundraising event experience.
- Payment Choice. Users can now leverage GiveSmart Events’ integration into the Clover Go device to help boost overall contributions by accommodating donors' preferred payment methods, including chip and contactless payments such as Apple Pay and Google Pay coming soon.
- Connectivity. Reliable, frictionless Bluetooth connectivity to streamline processes for event hosts, eliminating connectivity concerns commonly associated with older devices dependent on venue WiFi.
