Sam Caplan
As senior director of insights and engagement at Fluxx, Sam Caplan is devoted to keeping his finger on the pulse of the intersection of philanthropy and technology. Sam brings together the Fluxx Community of users and the philanthropic sector at large to drive engagement, discover insights, and ensure Fluxx products address their most pressing business challenges.
 
Prior to joining Fluxx, Sam served as the director of technology and data analytics at the Walmart Foundation, where he led IT operations for Walmart’s global philanthropy, employee giving and volunteerism programs. Sam led development of an enterprise reporting system and scaled grantmaking technologies to support 200,000 annual grant applications.
 
Sam consults, advises and writes prolifically on social sector technology and innovation. He lives in Bentonville, Arkansas with his wife Jessica, son Eli and his beloved Triumph motorcycle.
