BiddingForGood, a charitable e-commerce company that connects fundraisers, shoppers and businesses, recently launched its mobile platform as an extension of its online auction services.
“Mobile bidding allows both event attendees and those supporters who cannot attend the event an opportunity to bid on great items for a great cause,” says Jon Carson, CEO of BiddingForGood.
More and more fundraisers are adding mobile bidding to enhance their current fundraisers, live or online. Leslie Medalie, auction executive committee chair at Brimmer and May School, has chosen to use a mobile platform to complement her next online auction and to raise bids at her live auction event.
“The mobile platform provides total integration and promises to be a revenue booster — and excitement builder — for our annual event,” Medalie says.
Not only does mobile bidding make an event run smoothly from registration to closeout, but it also can boost revenue anywhere between 10 percent to 30 percent. Mobile bidding is about expanding your bidder pool and reducing the dependence on the old-fashioned clipboard while adding excitement to your fundraising auction event.
