It's been a while since I last posted on this blog. And, well, I did that on purpose. Yup, I did. Really. I swear.
You see, I wanted to make a point about how detrimental it is to your fundraising and awareness-building efforts to not communicate with donors and other supporters for extended periods of time. You can't inundate them with messaging either — or for that matter talk at them just for the sake of talking, without anything substantial to say — but letting them forget about you is a major mistake.
See, as much as I would like to believe that everyone who has ever so much as run a bake sale for the local Brownie troop has been waiting with bated breath for my next post, the unfortunate truth of the matter is that most of the people who were aware of this blog probably have forgotten that it exists.
And this new post will be just a little blip on their radars.
It's not until I really get into a steady routine of posting interesting, entertaining, timely, relevant information — any combination thereof, but all of the above would be best, of course — that folks will take me seriously as a blogger.
So here's hoping you get the message, and recognize and appreciate the deep sacrifice I made — the shattering blow to my reputation as a blogger, the sleepless nights I spent willing myself to stay away from the computer, the Herculean effort to not share my scintillating thoughts on fundriaising — to bring it to you.
😉
Peace and blessings!
Margaret
