Fundraising Resolution No. 3 (Volunteering): Who, Me?!?!
This old dog’s resolution for 2014 is to find a volunteer opportunity where my needs are met and the nonprofit’s needs are met. Sorry if that sounds selfish, but let’s face it — a bad fit not only makes for an unhappy volunteer, but for less effective nonprofits, as well.
Here’s to meaningful ways to give back in 2014!
Pamela consults with nonprofits, helping them develop their fundraising strategy and writing copy to achieve their goals. Additionally, she teaches fundraising at two universities, hoping to inspire the next generation of fundraisers to be passionate about the profession. Previously, Pamela led the fundraising programs for nonprofit organizations.
