Virtual Gallerie, LLC (VG), a 3D software and production company that caters to museums, universities, and other cultural institutions, launched the first personalized and interactive multimedia museum tour in virtual 3D online for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). Uncensored Interview and Creative Commons Team Up to Give Free Access to Artist Interviews

Today, Uncensored Interview, a video producer and licensor of musician interviews, announced a collaboration with Creative Commons, a nonprofit organization focused on building a body of openly shareable and reusable creative work, by releasing thousands of videos from its interview footage archive under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 (CC-BY) license. Previously, Uncensored Interview's library consisted of premium content available for commercial licensing, but now includes videos available via download in Ogg Theora, a free and open video compression format. Under CC-BY, users of the content are only required to give attribution to Uncensored Interview as the content source.

New Independent Survey Reports Salesforce.com Nonprofit Customers Are Achieving Their Social Missions With Cloud Computing

The Salesforce.com Foundation, the global leader in integrating philanthropy and business, today announced the results of its biannual customer satisfaction survey of nearly 300 nonprofit customers conducted by independent research firm MarketTools, Inc. in December 2008. The survey reports that nonprofits are averaging a 25 percent increase in fundraising, sponsorship, and other constituent acquisition efforts using donated and discounted licenses of Salesforce CRM. The survey also reports that nonprofits are experiencing on average a 24 percent increase in donor lead volumes; a 23 percent increase in donor lead conversations; and a 19 percent increase in donor retention.
