Razoo.com Launches GiveMN.org, a Local Online Donation Platform for Minnesota Non-Profits
Washington, DC, November 4, 2009 — Razoo.com today unveiled GiveMN.org, a comprehensive, local giving marketplace in partnership with the St. Paul Foundation and the Minnesota Community Foundation. The GiveMN site is designed to connect donors and non-profits in Minnesota and set a new standard for online giving.
The new platform combines tools that make it easy for non-profits to raise money and inspiring for donors to give money. Razoo’s easy-to-use fundraising and donation tools facilitate online donations to any 501(c)3 non-profit group in the United States at no cost to either the non-profit or the user. Razoo’s donation platform also allows individuals to create their own online fundraisers for the non-profit of their choice, and provides capabilities for both individuals and non-profits to tell their stories through text, photos, and videos.
The fundraising service is integrated with Facebook, Twitter, and other social media services, making it easy for users to promote fundraising opportunities to their friends, family, and communities at large.
“The mission of Razoo is to revolutionize philanthropy by helping donors experience the joy of giving and by making it easier and more efficient for non-profits to tell their stories and raise money,” said Sebastian Traeger, Razoo’s CEO. “This new giving marketplace makes it easier for the people of Minnesota to connect with causes they care about.”
Razoo intends to launch other local giving marketplaces by partnering with community foundations and corporations in 2010. Each local giving marketplace also supports giving cards, matching campaigns, contests and other tools to encourage giving.
“We are so thankful to be working with the talented folks at GiveMN, and to be supporting their efforts to revolutionize philanthropy in Minnesota,” said Traeger.
Headquartered in Washington, D.C., Razoo was founded in October 2006 and launched its giving platform in November 2008. CEO J. Sebastian Traeger leads a team of ten employees, with a mission to revolutionize philanthropy by helping donors experience the joy of giving and by making it easier and more efficient for non-profits to tell their stories and raise money.
