Pro-Bono Nonprofit Work Equals $120 Per Hour, Study Finds

Honolulu, April 2, 2009, Pacific Business News — The average value of pro-bono services provided by corporations to nonprofits is $120 an hour, according to a national study that analyzed billing rates in multiple professional service firms.

According to the Taproot Foundation’s Pro Bono Action Tank and the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy, the $120 hourly rate is based on a rounded average billing rate for midlevel employees in all disciplines.
