Anna’s Linens Campaign Supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Press release (Nov. 15, 2011) — Beginning October 31, 2011, as shoppers head out to get a jump-start on the holiday shopping season, Anna’s Linens customers will be able to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during the eighth annual Thanks and Giving campaign. This marks the fourth year Anna’s Linens has participated in the Thanks and Giving campaign, a holiday campaign that asks shoppers to “Give thanks for the healthy kids in your life, and give to those who are not.” The campaign unites normal business competitors with one goal during the holiday season — to build awareness and raise funds to support the vital research and treatment being done at St. Jude.
“Anna’s Linens is a committed partner to our holiday Thanks and Giving campaign, helping us increase awareness and raise funds for the lifesaving mission of St. Jude,” said Marlo Thomas, national outreach director for St. Jude. “It is because of partners like Anna’s Linens and their customers that we can keep our promise that no child will ever be turned away if a family can’t pay.”
As of 2011, Anna’s Linens has been included in the St. Jude Corporate Partnership recognition display as a Dream Partner. The display is featured proudly in the St. Jude Patient Care Lobby. The display recognizes all corporate partners who have raised or provided direct support to St. Jude in excess of $1 million and who continue to do so annually at the $250,000 level or greater. This year Anna’s Linens plans to raise more than $600,000.
Anna’s Linens is a family run business dedicated to the altruism of its associates as well as giving back to the community. Anna’s Linens has been in business for over 20 years, and through their many charitable endeavors, has always been committed to helping serve the communities surrounding their locations. Anna’s chose to partner with St. Jude because they felt that the hospital’s values were very similar to the Anna’s Linens Guiding Principles and Core Values. It was a combination of these values and the Anna's Family enthusiasm regarding the cause, which really made it easy to choose St. Jude as their non-profit partner.
