Charities across the U.K. reported a sharp rise in online donations for Giving Tuesday, figures have revealed. Software provider Blackbaud said donations through its services in the U.K. went up by 270 percent compared to the first Tuesday of December last year.
JustGiving said total donations were up 46 percent compared to the same day last year and text donations were up by 80 percent.
Visa Europe said that more than $3,900 was donated every minute on Visa cards in the U.K. and donations were up by 10 percent on last year.
