New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced a new state initiative Sunday that will grant $50 million to nonprofit groups to help them with job creation and affordable housing programs. That initiative will be the first undertaking of a new office Cuomo is creating called the Office of Faith-Based Community Development Services.
Cuomo said the new office will be headed by Assemblyman Karim Camara, who is leaving elected office for a position as its executive director.
