Monthly Giving
Before you start “pivoting” in who knows what direction or embark on a new plan, let me recommend to go back to the basics.
Now is the time to reach out to your donors and ask them how they’re doing.
I have some good news: Now may be a good time to ask for monthly gifts.
So much has changed, but ultimately, you need donors of all levels to help your nonprofit sustain your mission.
OK — there’s no official monthly donor retention day, but I think it’s time we started one.
Make every hour count, and use it to implement at least one small change to your overall fundraising program.
Remember to annualize the new monthly donors, so you’ll see the impact. These small changes don’t cost you anything to do.
If you’re using terms like annual fund to identify your operating revenue, realize that monthly gifts are part of this.
